If there’s one thing I love, it’s good movies. I admire the talents of Quentin Tarantino, Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee and Robert Altman. And I admire the talents of Roman Polanski.
Roman Polanski is considered one of the greatest directors of all time, and I agree. He directed and wrote the screenplay for Rosemary’s Baby, one of the best thrillers I’ve ever seen. He directed Chinatown. His attention to detail in the film is genius. He directed The Pianist, where he received an Oscar for Best Director. If you've never seen Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown or The Pianist, you've missed three of the best films ever made.
It takes a highly intelligent, highly creative person to do what Roman Polanski is capable of doing on film. No question.
But so what?
