KinkForAll San Francisco: A free sexuality unconference on March 21 at the Women's Building

maymay's picture

Yup, we're at it again. And this time, we're coming to San Francisco. ;)

KinkForAllIf you've followed SexGenderBody for some time, you'll have seen me post about previous KinkForAll events, which are day-long, open to the public sexuality conferences whose schedule and content is 100% participant driven. Rather than create an agenda ahead of time and expect you to sit down and listen, we prefer to inspire a conversation and encourage you to share your thoughts!

KinkForAll events are sometimes broadcast live to the Internet to get even more people talking. And on March 21 at 10:20 AM, KinkForAll is crossing the country and landing in the Women's Building in the heart of the San Francisco Mission District.

Tell everyone you know! Bring your friends! Join us, and discover what it's like to help small acts multiply.

PLEASE COPY AND CROSSPOST THIS MESSAGE FREELY.

Details
=======
KinkForAll is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people of all persuasions to share and learn in an open environment. It is a fast-paced event with discussions, presentations, and interaction from all participants. (It is inspired by the BarCamp community.)

ANYONE WITH SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE OR WITH THE DESIRE TO LEARN IS WELCOME AND INVITED TO JOIN. When you attend, be prepared to share with others. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.

A KinkForAll is a special kind of gathering because there are no spectators, only participants. Attendees must give a talk or a presentation, help with one, or otherwise contribute in some way to support the event. (There are many ways to participate; don't feel pressured to give a presentation!) All presentations are scheduled the day they happen—there are no pre-scheduled presentations or keynote addresses. The people who participate in the event will select the presentations they want to see.

Anyone can lead a session, on any topic related to sexuality. You do not necessarily have to teach a new skill or idea. You might share an experience, facilitate a discussion, or read a poem. The goal is to start a conversation, make connections (maybe even friends), and exchange knowledge. Presentations promoting specific commercial products or companies are discouraged.
